The laboratory of Henan Pingyuan New Materials Technology Co., Ltd. has recently acquired a Shimadzu Fourier Transform Infrared Spectrometer (FTIR). This instrument is built upon optical compensation interferometer technology and features gold-coated angular mirrors to enhance light throughput and reflectivity. It integrates a high-sensitivity DLATGS detector, achieving a resolution of 0.5 cm⁻¹ and a signal-to-noise ratio of 40,000:1. The sealed interferometer is equipped with an intelligent dehumidification system capable of automatically monitoring humidity levels and replacing desiccant as needed, thereby significantly reducing maintenance requirements. The spectrometer operates using LabSolutions IR software, which supports automated foreign material analysis through a database of over 300 standard spectral libraries and complies with pharmacopoeia standards. It enables rapid identification of additives and contaminants in polymer materials, as well as verification of drug component consistency. Furthermore, the instrument's modular design accommodates a variety of accessories, including ATR and gas cells, making it suitable for the rapid analysis of complex samples such as films and powders. This provides efficient technical support for compositional analysis, process optimization, and quality control in the research and development of new materials.
